TP Vision is keen to deliver a rich Philips Smart TV experience to its customers, with a wide range of services, from infotainment and catch-up TV to games and video on demand. Unfortunately we need to confirm that the Viaplay service will stop running on Philips TVs.


Q: Why do you remove the Viaplay application for Philips Smart TVs?
A: Viaplay have received requests from users to improve the application and the streaming quality on Smart TVs. Since we, Viaplay and TP Vision, were facing technical challenges to update the streaming format on Philips Smart TV models we have jointly taken the decision to remove the application from Philips platforms. Both companies want to provide the best possible user experience, which we cannot ensure at this point in time.

Q: I am a paying customer, where can I use the service when you remove the Viaplay application for all Philips Smart TV?
A: Please contact the Viaplay helpdesk on this matter. As TP Vision cannot comment on Viaplay’s service.

Q: Will you compensate me now when you remove the Viaplay application on Philips Smart TVs?
A: Please contact Viaplay on this matter, the subscription for the Viaplay service is managed by Viaplay.

Q: Will you relaunch the Viaplay application from Philips Smart TVs in the future?
A: TP Vision is keen to deliver a rich Philips Smart TV experience to its customers. Viaplay service is highly appreciated service amongst consumers. However, at this point in time it is too early to talk about future plans. Rest assured we will keep you informed on this.

Q: As of when will the service be stopped?
Officially the service will stop in December, however, as you know the service is not running right now given the technical challenges.

I sit with a brand new Philips TV, and can in no way find Viaplay app ....

Philips shifted TV platform 'Android TV' in 2015. Viaplay is not yet on Android TV.

It must surely hope, but Viaplay will not confirm anything.


Still no Viaplay. However, it is shown as app in demo mode when there is no Internet

Have received 65PUS8601 now after a long wait. Great picture. But is super disappointed to Viaplay not have an App, but it is as such not Phillips guilt ..

Mis puutub aga Viaplay'sse, siis mind küll selle kvaliteet ei rahulda. 720p. võib ju olla, ent kiire kaadrivahetus muudab küll pildi pehmelt öeldes jamaks...

Maksukanavayhtiö Viasat lopettaa kovan aikuisviihteen esittämisen kanavillaan. Näin ollen pornoa ei enää nähdä Suomessa isoilla maksukanavilla.
Elokuviin ja urheiluun panostava Viasat on päättänyt uudistaa sisältöjään maksukanavillaan.
Viasat muuttaa sisältöjään kevään aikana siten, että jatkossa kanavien koko perheelle suunnattu elokuvatarjonta on ympärivuorokautista.
Tulevaisuudessa Viasatin kanavilla nähdään ainoastaan Playboy-kanavan softcore-aikuisviihdettä aamuöisin klo 01 jälkeen.
