Regarding F1, we hope that this will be available in HD as soon as possible within our new contract, but this depends on demand from other international broadcasters as well as from us.
HD production technology has moved on a long way, but it's frustrating that there still aren't small and inexpensive lightweight HD cameras available. HD, as you may know, involves changes at every level of the production and broadcast chain and, unfortunately, not every stage is developing at the same rate, which can slow the pace.

Kas keegi teab,mis seis on BBC HD ja F1 -ga hetkel.
Suure "taldrikuga" peaks signaali võibolla ka Eestis kätte saama?(asi ajakohane,kuigi on ka varem arutatud!! Astra 2D V)

See aasta veel F1 HD-na ei edastata:
I’m very disappointed that F1 will not be in high definition in 2009. Once again it seems Formula One Group’s laughably slow adoption of new technology is to blame.
The races will be on iPlayer, but precise red button plans are yet to be confirmed.
The idea is that F1’s home will be BBC One, with all qualifying and races live and uninterrupted on that channel. The rest will be online and on the red button.
F1 won’t be available in HD though we’d very much like it to be. I’ll keep you posted.

Ikkagi huvitav, kuidas ORF HD saab (või vähemalt sai möödunud hooajal) ja BBC HD ei saa?
See ju meil nii kena signaaliga nüüdsel ajal Thori kaudu tulemas
